A Plumeria Rubra grown from seed will not grow true to the parent. If a plumeria tree is grown from seed, then it is a seedling of the parent, not the same as the pod or pollen parent original cultivar. Even if the flowers look like the parent plant's flowers, leaves and shares the same fragrance. A DNA study would show that the seedling is different than the parent, no matter how much the flowers resemble the parent.
