Fully Rooted Grafted Plumeria Plants

Plumeria are often grafted to produce new plants.

Plant grafting is a technique in which tissue from one plumeria, the scion, is attached onto another, the rootstock. The rootstock produces new vascular tissue with which to feed the scion, and the graft heals. ... The benefits of grafting provides an established root system and a stronger plant that produces mature blooms sooner while staying true to the parent. It usually take about 3 to 4 weeks for the graft to heal.

Why Graft Plumeria

Rooted Plumeria Cutting Plants

Rooted Plumeria are scions that have been allowed to produce it own root system. Plumeria are easy to root and roots will form in as little as 6 to 8 weeks, but new roots are very soft and will break at the slightest movement. Florida Colors Nursery's rooted plants have been allowed to grow roots for 3-4 months or longer to form a mature root system.

Plumeria Cuttings

We are building a better selection of cutting for sale than ever before.

Plumeria are easy to root and roots will form in as little as 6 to 8 weeks, but new roots are very soft and will break at the slightest movement. Cuttings must have enough time to develop a good root system prior to winter dormancy.

If you are going to grow Plumeria from cuttings then it would be best to start in the spring with as large a cutting as possibly. Stay away of known hard rooting varieties and pencil size cuttings.
